The War of Five Seasons
An international military conflict that occurred over a period of fifteen months in 10,062 and 10,063 A.E. Originally a dispute between the nations of Kardiam and Yarfel, the war quickly grew to include the nations of Lysus, Vener, Bhel, and Hestial.
Though now a century in the past, the repercussions of this war are still evident to this day. The nations of Kardiam and Yarfel remain locked in an unofficial cold war, with little to no diplomatic relations between them, waging a war by proxy through the countries of Lysus and Vener. Additionally, due to the military support provided by Hestial to Kardiam during a pivotal battle, those two nations remain close allies.
This war gets it name from a bardic composition of the same name written after the end of the dispute. Some historians argue that the events leading up to the battles of this war take place over a longer period of time than merely five season, which makes it a misnomer.
